Here’s a new one.  I thought about going 4 high but decided to limit the stack to 3. This one is acrylic on canvas and measures 8″x6″. SOLDstackedbwcups

The bosc pears that have been around for a good while now are ready to retire, possibly even to the compost heap. But before they do here they are in one last pose with a couple of aspiring extras. SOLDboscsandbulbs

This new one employs my Blue Willow bowl and some lovely bosc pears that have been busy as still life models. It is acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas and measures 8″x6″. SOLDboscsinbw

Here’s a new close-up study of one of my blue willow cups full of a nice strong brew of Earl Grey tea. It’s acrylic, painted on gessobord panel and measures 6″x6″. Yes the pattern can be tedious but I always love the finished product. SOLDbw224

This floral piece is based on a gorgeous tangle of climbing roses I saw on a farm wall in Tuscany. In the spring in Italy, roses are everywhere, and the fragrance of these beauties fills the air. It is 8″x 10″, watercolor on Arches cold pressed paper. Contact me if interested in purchasing this original. It is available as a print on Imagekind.

This piece has been accepted into Segil Fine Art’s summer group show: H2O Ebb and Flow. The theme being water I love having a chance to get this great pitcher out again and playing with reflections. This image is now available as a print on Imagekind. The original is available directly from me so contact me if you are interested in purchasing. h2ored

August 10th? My last post? I have to do better than that. I’ve been doing lots of little pieces and just forget to post them. This one was a bit more effort and I love this bowl, especially with the rich reds of the pears against the gold rim. This one is acrylic on canvas, 10″x8″. It is available for purchase directly from me. So if you are interested, send me an email (check my contact page).newimageredprscom starting September 14th.

This piece was commissioned for a woman named Iris who loves Irises. The models were blooming back in June in my neighbor’s garden. They were quite spectacular in the late afternoon with the setting sun behind them and I was able to get plenty of reference photos.

This is acrylic on canvas and measures 14″x11″ SOLD

Coming up this Saturday, June 23rd and running through August 18th, Segil Fine Art Source in Monrovia, CA will be exhibiting the show “The Farmer’s Market: From Field to Market, Market to Table”. The opening reception is this Saturday, June 23, from 5-7 pm. This looked to be right up my alley so I entered a few pieces and the two still lifes below are in the show. Stop in and see this fun show. http://laurasegil.fineartstudioonline.com/event/36576/the-farmers-market-from-field-to-farm-market-to-table

I’ve been working on a lot of small pieces lately and thought I’d post this one as this blog has been languishing in the dust for some time. This small study is based on a reference photo I took some time ago. The red delicious apple’s bright red skin highlights the creamy white inside and the table top picks up a little of the color in the reflection. This piece is acrylic on canvas and measures 6″x8″.
